Água da Fontana di Trevi fica preta em ação contra mudanças climáticas

Ativistas explicaram que a ação foi para pedir que o governo italiano suspenda os subsídios públicos aos combustíveis fósseis

A água da famosa Fontana di Trevi, em Roma, escureceu neste domingo (21/5) em um protesto contra as mudanças climáticas. Os ativistas do grupo "Ultima Generazione" (Última Geração) jogaram carvão diluído na água para deixá-la preta.

Pelo Instagram, eles explicaram que a ação foi para pedir que o governo italiano suspenda os subsídios públicos aos combustíveis fósseis. "As catástrofes destes dias são tragédias anunciadas, destinadas a piorar se não combatermos o colapso climático", afirmaram.

Os ativistas foram retirados do local por policiais. O prefeito de Roma, Roberto Gualtieri, usou o Twitter para condenar o protesto. "Basta desses ataques absurdos ao nosso patrimônio artístico", escreveu ele.
